Report: Topeka’s Ryan Zeferjahn traded from Angels to Cubs

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka native and former Los Angeles Angels reliever Ryan Zeferjahn is headed to the Chicago Cubs, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
The 28-year-old was traded on Monday afternoon in exchange for Cubs catcher Moisés Ballesteros and RHP Mason McGwire.
This season in L.A., Zeferjahn has tallied 75 strikeouts in 51.2 innings across 45 games. He also has a 33.6% strikeout rate, which is well above the Cubs team average (21.3%) out of the bullpen.
