Woman found dead in Farmington home fire
FARMINGTON — A woman was found dead in a Leary Lane home after a report of a fire late Saturday, July 25, according to authorities.
The woman was found after firefighters responded about 11:33 p.m., finding the home on fire, according to a press release attributed to New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Farmington Fire Chief Royal Edgerly III and Farmington Police Chief Scott Orlando. They stated a joint investigation is being conducted.
Firefighters attempted to locate anyone in the home despite the danger from "extensive fire conditions and significant structural damage," according to the press release. The woman was deceased inside the home.
The identity of the woman was not immediately released, pending notification of next of kin.
The Farmington fire and police departments were assisted by firefighters from Rochester, Middleton, Milton, Alton, Strafford, Barnstead, and Wolfeboro and other emergency responders.
