Anniston woman charged with making threat to Alabama corrections department

An Anniston woman was arrested Thursday after Alabama Department of Corrections officials said she made a verbal threat while contacting the agency.

Patricia Diane Negron was arrested by ADOC Law Enforcement Services Division agents on a warrant charging her with harassing communications.

ADOC said the charge is based on a verbal threat made with the intent to carry it out and that would cause a reasonable person targeted by the threat to fear for their safety.

Negron was arrested in Anniston and taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

Because of security concerns, Negron is banned from entering any ADOC facility, the department said.
