Former Maine detective accused of falsifying polygraph records
PORTLAND, Maine (WGME) -- A former detective with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is accused of falsifying records while working as a polygraph examiner.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says 51-year-old Regan Goan of Raymond was arrested on Friday following an investigation into his duties as an examiner.
Goan is also a former Bridgton police officer and Cumberland County sheriff's deputy.
He is charged with unsworn falsification, violating the Maine Polygraph Examiners Act and multiple counts of tampering with public records.
Goan posted bail and is scheduled to appear in Portland court on Oct. 29.
