A small town on the Oregon Coast earned a spot on a new list of must-visit destinations across the United States.

Travel website YTravel recently published its roundup of "23 Small Towns in the USA We Love to Visit," highlighting communities across the country that stand out for their charm, character and unique attractions.

"There's a certain magic in the small towns of America that you can't find anywhere else," the article said. "It's a quaint charm that can't be bottled, barcoded, or bulldozed into a strip mall."

Among the destinations that made the list was a popular Oregon Coast town known for its iconic rock formations and wildlife.

Here's what YTravel said about the small coastal town.

Cannon Beach

Cannon Beach was listed as one of the small towns that should be included on any Oregon road trip.

"Oregon is a state of outstanding natural beauty and should not be missed on any trip around the West Coast of America," the article states.

YTravel highlighted Cannon Beach's pristine shoreline, its famous Haystack Rock and the tufted puffins that attract thousands of visitors each year during nesting season.

The article also pointed to nearby Arcadia Beach as a must-see destination, recommending it as an ideal spot for exploring tide pools and enjoying a picnic along the coast.
