Longtime Sioux City radio personality passes away
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A longtime Sioux City radio personality has passed away.
KSCJ posted on Facebook Thursday that Charlie Stone has passed away. He was 76.
"It's hard to put into words what Charlie Stone meant to so many people. For years, Charlie wasn't just a voice coming through the radio speakers — he was a familiar friend, a storyteller, a personality, and a part of everyday life in Siouxland," KSCJ wrote in their post.
According to KSCJ's website, Stone's radio career in Sioux City began back in 1968. After leaving in the 90s, he had recently returned to Sioux City to take over KSCJ's Open Line that he had hosted back in the 80s and 90s.

KSCJ closed their post with the following: "Charlie, thank you for sharing your voice, your heart, and so much of yourself with Siouxland. Your voice may be quiet now, but the impact you made will continue to be heard. Rest peacefully, Charlie. You were deeply loved, you will be incredibly missed, and you will never be forgotten."
