OUR COMMUNITY HELPING OUR COMMUNITY!
Thank you Crosby Marketing
Crosby Marketing has launched a $50,000 matching gift challenge benefiting the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, giving donors an opportunity to double their contributions throughout July.
Every dollar donated during the summer campaign will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $50,000. A $50 contribution, for example, will generate $100 for programs serving Anne Arundel County families, children, and seniors experiencing food insecurity.
This marks the sixth consecutive year Crosby Marketing has supported the campaign. The company has contributed $450,000 to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank since 2020.
“We’re proud to support this campaign for the sixth straight year,” said Crosby President Raymond Crosby. “The needs are greater than ever, and we hope our match challenge inspires more local residents and businesses to answer the call to help combat hunger in our community.”
The campaign comes as residents continue to face higher costs for housing, utilities, health care, and groceries. According to the Food Bank, Maryland utility bills have increased 17% since last year, and the organization has served 10% more households with food this year than during the previous year.
Seniors living on fixed incomes, working families, and residents facing unexpected financial hardships are increasingly seeking assistance through the Food Bank and its countywide network of food pantries.
The Anne Arundel County Food Bank has distributed the equivalent of 3.6 million meals this year through local food pantries across the county.
“Crosby Marketing has long been a champion for families experiencing food insecurity in our community, and this extraordinary gift will have a direct impact on thousands of our neighbors,” said Leah Paley, CEO of the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. “This challenge match gives donors the opportunity to double their impact and help ensure that families, children, and seniors have access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.”
Donations made during July will support the distribution of nutritious food and other resources to Anne Arundel County residents experiencing hunger.
