Neese's Country Sausage, a beloved North Carolina-based brand, is returning to stores.
The company's variety of sausage products will be available in more than 500 Food Lion stores across North Carolina and Virginia by the end of August.

The recipes will remain the same, but the packaging will look a little different than customers remember.
Neese's Sausage shut down and paused operations earlier this year after the United States Department of Agriculture said the company had pending health violations and a lack of USDA inspectors.
In a June 2026 release, the company announced that Neese's Country Sausage would transition to the White family, who own and operate the Jesse Jones brand in Raleigh. Jesse Jones is known for its Southern-style red hot dogs, as well as its assortment of bologna and sausage products.
