Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 4 on Tuesday arrested two men following the conclusion of two separate child sexual abuse investigations in Grayson County.
Although the arrests occurred on the same day, these are two independent investigations involving different victims and unrelated circumstances, according to KSP.
Both investigations began in April 2026 and were conducted by detectives with KSP Post 4. Upon completion of each investigation, Detective Travis Dalton and Detective Kevin Dreisbach presented their cases separately to a Grayson County Grand Jury, which returned indictments against both individuals.
The first individual, Jared T. Joyce, 37, of Leitchfield, was arrested on charges of sodomy, first degree (two counts); kidnapping; sexual abuse, first degree (two counts); and sodomy, third degree. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center under a $1 million cash bond. KSP Post 3 troopers assisted with the service of the indictment warrant.
The second individual, Jason A. Elmore, 50, of Clarkson, was arrested on charges of rape, first degree; human trafficking - comm. sex activity (victim under 18); and unlawful transaction with minor, first - ill. controlled substance, under 16 years of age. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center under a $500,000 cash bond. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the service of the indictment warrant.
The investigations remain ongoing. No additional information will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigations and the privacy of the victims, according to KSP.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
