Ohio University police investigating death of student found in residence hall

ATHENS, Ohio (WOIO) - The Ohio University Police Department (OUPD) is investigating an unattended death of a student that was reported Monday afternoon.

According to police, the report was made at 4:30 p.m. Monday at McDavis Hall.

Based on preliminary information, police said there is no reason to believe the death represents a threat to the community.

The student was identified as Mason Bohm, who was a resident in McDavis Hall, and the next of kin was notified.
