Motorcyclist killed in Saturday morning Elmore County crash
ELMORE COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A Wetumpka man was killed Saturday morning when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by another vehicle, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
ALEA identified the victim as Gordon L. Stephenson, 69, who was riding a 2010 Yamaha FZ1 when it was hit by a 2023 Nissan Rogue around 7:45 a.m.
The crash happened at the intersection of Marshell Road and Jug Factory Road, about eight miles east of Wetumpka in Elmore County.
Stephenson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No injuries were reported by ALEA for the driver of the Nissan, a 33-year-old from Montgomery.
The crash remains under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
