Boston Police said they arrested a man involved in Dorchester shooting earlier this year who was accidentally shot by the other suspects during the incident.
Dacorsey Washington, 21, was dropped off at Boston Medical Center in the early hours of May 12 by a BMW SUV, according to BPD. Hospital staff reported to police that they treated a shooting victim, and two other men were seen fleeing the BMW on foot.
Around 1:20 a.m. that morning, police said they had responded to a radio call for shots fired and multiple ShotSpotter activations on Dacia Street.
No residents were harmed, police reported when arriving on the scene, but nearby homes and a parked vehicle had been hit by gunfire, and officers spotted spent shell casings and a bloody trail.
Surveillance footage showed a BMW SUV arriving at an address on May 12, as three individuals got out of the vehicle, and those suspects shot at a Jeep nearby as it fled.
The video also “indicates that one of the three men was struck by gunfire from one of his own companions during the exchange,” the department said in a statement.
A warrant was issued for Washington’s arrest on May 21, but he wasn’t apprehended until Monday, when Boston Police’s Fugitive Unit located him at a residence in Brockton.
He faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of building, and two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
The two other shooting suspects, Tyrus Farrell-Woodson, 24, of the South End, and Chivaughn Nettles, 21, of Fenway, have already been arrested and charged.

BPD responded to 227 incidents in the 24-hour period ending at 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the department’s incident log. Those included one robbery, 13 aggravated assaults, two residential burglaries, three larcenies from a vehicle, and 26 miscellaneous larcenies.
