A Hennessey High School student was arrested Thursday after school administrators received a report of concerning social media activity, according to Hennessey Public Schools.
The district said administrators received the report Thursday morning and worked with the Hennessey Police Department and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
According to a letter sent to parents and staff, law enforcement investigated the concerns, made an arrest and determined the situation does not pose a threat to students or school personnel.
The district did not provide details about the social media activity or identify the student who was arrested.
Hennessey Public Schools said administrators take potential safety concerns seriously and work with law enforcement when investigating them.
Officials have not released information about what charges the student may face.
