Humane Society of Western Montana hosts monthly free vaccine clinic for pets
MISSOULA, Mont. — The Humane Society of Western Montana is hosting its monthly free vaccine clinic this Thursday, offering annual vaccinations and microchipping for cats and dogs at no cost.
The Humane Society has been hosting these monthly clinics for 18 months and serves hundreds of pets each time.
Three veterinarians will be on-site, along with multiple staff members, to help administer core vaccinations to cats and dogs, along with rabies vaccines and microchipping for pets.
“Young animals in particular are susceptible to diseases like parvo, distemper, so we want to make sure not only are those animals protected but also that all of the animals in our community are protected. So, the more animals that are vaccinated the more animals are protected,” Marta Pierpoint, executive director of the Humane Society of Western Montana, said.
The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Silver Park. They are expecting a large turnout, so be prepared to wait.
