Man arrested and charged for allegedly robbing a KeyBank in Elyria

ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) - A 37-year-old man is under arrest and charged with robbing a KeyBank Thursday morning in Elyria.

Officers were called to the bank on West River Road North around 9:20 a.m. after a report of a robbery.

Police said a man walked into the branch, indicated he had a gun and demanded cash from a teller before taking off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was identified by police as Daniel Lewis Brock of Elyria.

Cleveland police found Brock around 11 a.m.in the 2200 block of Broadview Road.

When officers approached Brock, he ran into a nearby home and was taken into custody as he tried to get out through a window.

Police say Brock was turned over to Elyria police and charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.

He is being held without bond in the Lorain County Jail pending an initial appearance in Elyria Municipal Court.

Elyria investigators say Brock is believed to be connected to an attempted robbery earlier Thursday at a Chase Bank branch in Lorain.
