Just ahead of the 6:00 p.m. deadline Monday, the Milwaukee Brewers struck a deal with the Colorado Rockies for a right-handed reliever who has rejuvenated his career this season.
As first reported by MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, reliever Antonio Senzatela is headed to Milwaukee.
Senzatela spent the first 10 1/2 seasons of his MLB career as a starter with Colorado but recently converted to a reliever and has thrived in doing so.
Prior to being traded, Senzatela was the longest tenured member of the Rockies roster.

All 34 of Senzatela's appearances this season have come out of the bullpen, and he's been outstanding in his new role.
Senzatela has pitched to a 3.61 ERA, easily the best of his career and well below his 5.01 career ERA.
The strikeout numbers appear to be down on the surface, but Senzatela's K/9 rate is at 7.9, the highest of his career.

For a team that had been mentioned as potential suitors for Tarik Skubal, Clay Holmes and other top-notch pitchers, coming away with Dustin May, JoJo Romero and Senzatela feels lackluster.
The arms added by the Brewers front office will certainly help, but it's not near the caliber of moves that were needed to help compete with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the postseason.
