FLORENCE COUNTY S.C. (WPDE) — Nine Republican candidates running in South Carolina's U.S. Senate special Republican primary are scheduled to speak Saturday at a stump stop in Florence.

The South Carolina Republican Party and Republican gubernatorial nominee Alan Wilson will host the event Aug. 8 at the Waters Building.

The event is being held in partnership with the Florence County Republican Party and will give voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates ahead of the Aug. 11 Special Republican Primary.

Candidates will deliver stump speeches followed by questions from members of the Florence County Republican Party. A meet-and-greet with the candidates will follow.
