Federal authorities in Los Angeles, along with San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies, sought the public’s assistance Wednesday in locating a missing 75-year-old Chinese-born man who was last seen in Rancho Cucamonga in March 2025.
The FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are conducting a joint investigation into the suspicious disappearance of Nai Ping Hou, also known as Hou Bao Ping or Hou Nai Ping, who was last seen on March 16, 2025.
Authorities believe that Hou is a victim of possible foul play, with evidence of his bank accounts being depleted before law enforcement learned about his disappearance.
Hou was described as 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with salt-and-pepper hair and brown eyes. He also has a birthmark on his upper left shoulder.
Authorities said Hou has ties to Riverside County.
