According to a traffic alert from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, both lanes of I-24 westbound are blocked near mile point 54.8, due to a vehicle fire.
"To detour, motorists should exit I-24 at Exit 56 in Caldwell County, travel south on KY 139, north on KY 93 and then use KY 293 to return to I-24 westbound at Exit 45 in Lyon County," KYTC's release read.
KYTC says there's no estimated duration at this time.
