LITCHFIELD — Three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash.
The crash was reported in the city of Litchfield around 10:37 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and Minnesota Highway 24. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, both vehicles were traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 12 when they collided at the intersection.

Two women inside a 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer were both injured in the crash. Virginia Ann Evensen, 80, of Mora, is identified as the driver and her passenger was Dee Etta Kuehn, 82, of VanCleave, Mississippi.
Both were wearing their seat belts and the airbags in the vehicle deployed, according to the crash report. Both women were transported to the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield for treatment.
The passenger in the second vehicle, a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, was injured. She is identified as Annabell Maxine Larsen, 85, of Willmar. She was also transported to the hospital in Litchfield for further treatment.
The driver, 81-year-old Stephen Louis Mattson, also from Willmar, was uninjured in the crash. Mattson and Larsen were both wearing their seat belts, according to the State Patrol. The airbags in their vehicle did not deploy.
Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the collision and alcohol is not suspected to be a contributing factor, according to the State Patrol.
Litchfield police officers, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Litchfield Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance, assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene.
