MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) — A Fond du Lac man charged with felony stalking was arrested Monday for different crimes.
Capt. Chris Randall of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office said Benjamin Larson, 47, was arrested for three counts of receiving stolen property, an amount between $2,500 and $5,000, and one count of felony bail jumping. He was taken into custody and is being held in the county jail ahead of an initial appearance.
Detectives are continuing to investigate Larson on the stalking charge. According to that criminal complaint, he's accused of pursuing a woman for 13 years following a brief relationship that ended in 2013.

The victim, who dated Larson for about two months in 2013, reported to Madison police that his unwanted contact escalated over more than a decade despite her moving to Canada and never responding to his messages, the complaint states.
The victim told police the relationship was "very intense" and ended after Larson called her saying he was suicidal with a gun to his head. After she moved to Canada in fall 2013 without giving him her address, Larson sent letters to her mother's Madison home along with gifts and emails.
In a 15-page email sent in August 2015, Larson wrote about getting a tattoo of "their symbol" and her initials. "Here or not, [Victim 1] is permanent with me, never to go away now," he wrote. "Even if you do decide to leave my life, and never look back on me again for the rest of your days, you will still be with me."
The victim, who works as a therapist, received a card at her business office in Dane County in November 2025. Larson wrote that he would "continue to try contacting you until I hear something from you" and added, "I'm not sure if I need to try calling, or just knock on your door someday, or what."
In December 2025, Larson sent a "Season's Creepings" holiday card to her home address, saying he was wandering around Madison as part of his therapy. He ended the card by referring to her husband and child by name, which especially distressed the victim because she and her husband had been careful not to post about their child on social media.
Larson also filed complaints against the victim with licensing boards in Wisconsin, Oregon and North Carolina, falsely claiming she had been his therapist. When contacted by police, Larson confirmed sending the December card and said his therapist told him filing licensing board complaints would get the victim to respond.
On Aug. 14, officers executed a search warrant at Larson's home on County Road Q in Fond du Lac. Inside the basement, they found a padlocked bedroom containing a life-size silicone doll on a bed beneath a painting resembling the victim.
On the bed were papers with the victim's name and notes about sending letters from fake identities. Officers found two drafted letters signed "Susan Steinbrenner" threatening to contact licensing boards if the victim didn't respond to Larson.
The bedroom contained five human skulls, a partial skull and what appeared to be a human jawbone.
Investigators are working with a forensic anthropologist affiliated with the Wisconsin Crime Lab, the Wisconsin Historical Society, the Wisconsin Inter-Tribal Repatriation Committee, and specialized laboratories to determine whether those remains are authentic and whether they are modern-era remains or archaeological Native American remains.
Officers also found a plastic tote and garbage bag containing items Larson said belonged to the victim, including an earring, coin, pressed flowers and a clay head resembling her.
Detectives found a 25-page handwritten document with the victim's name. One entry read: "I hate that they have a life together. That the child she promised me is his." Another passage described Larson driving to the victim's Madison home at night dressed in black with a machete, watching her house and taking garbage from her bin.
"Creepy, strange, stalker-ish, potentially dangerous? Yes. It is. Does this bother me? Not in the slightest," Larson wrote.
The basement also contained memorabilia related to serial killers including Ed Gein, the Zodiac Killer and John Wayne Gacy, according to the complaint.
Larson is charged with one count of felony stalking. If convicted, he faces up to three years and six months in prison and a $10,000 fine. At the time of this publication, charges had not been filed for receiving stolen property.
