Evansville Regional Airport leaders discuss future milestones, connecting flights at Rotary Club meeting

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Officials with the Evansville Regional Airport shared an in-depth look at how the airport continues to connect the region during a Rotary Club meeting at Bally’s on Tuesday.

Evansville Regional Airport Executive Director Nate Hahn and Director of Marketing Leslie Fella led the conversation about the milestones and partnerships shaping the future of the airport. Officials say they hope to create new opportunities and strengthen travel by securing more connecting flights.

The discussion also highlighted specialized airport programs and resources aimed at supporting travelers.

“It’s so important to increase awareness of these opportunities and the initiatives at the airport, like the sensory kits, the calming spaces, the therapy animals, because they all have such tremendous benefits, but if EVV travelers are not aware that they exist, then they’re not going to be able to benefit from them,” said Michelle Kirk, Manager of Disability Resources at the University of Southern Indiana (USI).

The event brought together local business and community leaders to discuss the next steps and long-term vision for the Evansville Regional Airport.
