SIH holds health fair in Marion, Ill.

MARION, Ill. (Heartland News) - Junior high students got an up-close look at what it’s like to work in the medical field at a fair in Marion, Illinois.

Southern Illinois Healthcare held the health fair at the Marion Pavilion.

Students from around 20 area schools learned all things medical, from cardiology and surgery to pharmacy and nursing.

One SIH official said it’s a great way to inspire the next generation.

“It’s really connecting with different health care fields, and hopefully sparking some interest in allowing them to come and to explore a potential health care future,” SIH HR Recruiter Jessica Viccente said.

SIH had representatives from 30 different departments meeting with students at the fair.
