A group of Massachusetts lawmakers calling on the governor to order an immediate review of commercial driver licenses in the state.
25 state lawmakers in their letter say that a Pennsylvania State Trooper was killed in a crash by an illegal immigrant from Haiti who got his CDL from Brockton.
Trooper Michael Pahira was killed in the line of duty three weeks after the immigrant got his CDL.
The letter is signed by 25 lawmakers from both sides of the aisle, including State Rep. Kelly Pease of Westfield and Nick Baldyga of Agawam and Todd Smola of Palmer.
So far there has been no response from either the Governor's office or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
