HOUSTON – More than 15 alleged members and associates of a Houston gang were arrested in a multi-location operation led by the FBI Houston Safe Streets Task Force, according to the FBI.
According to a law enforcement source, the operation targeted the group YNS, a self-described gang that has maintained a prominent presence on social media. Members have allegedly posted videos connected to criminal activity.

Authorities believe those arrested may be linked to multiple violent crimes in Houston over the past year and possibly earlier, according to the source. The suspects face federal and state charges.
The Houston Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted with the operation. The FBI said the agencies worked together to safely carry out the complex takedown.
