APOPKA, Fla. – Five puppies are now a step closer to finding loving homes after Puppy Rescue Flights completed a rescue mission from Alabama to Central Florida over the weekend.
In a release, members of the group said the flight transported the puppies to partner rescue organizations in Central Florida as part of Puppy Rescue Flights’ ongoing effort to give rescued animals a second chance.

Volunteer Pilots Make the Journey Possible
Volunteer pilots donated their time and aircraft to carry the puppies along the rescue route. The puppies first traveled from Alabama to Enterprise Municipal Airport in Enterprise, where Central Florida pilots continued the flight to Apopka.
After arriving in Apopka, the puppies were transferred to their receiving rescue organizations.
Puppy Rescue Flights covers aviation fuel costs, while pilots, rescue partners, volunteers and donors help make each mission possible.
‘Leave No Pup Behind’
The Sept. 13 flight reflects the organization’s motto, “Leave no pup behind,” a guiding principle of founder and President Michael Young.
For the five puppies, the trip marks the beginning of a new chapter and brings them closer to permanent, loving homes.
Puppy Rescue Flights is a nonprofit organization that coordinates volunteer pilots and rescue partners to transport puppies from areas with limited resources to communities where they have greater opportunities for adoption.
