An investigation involving Lewiston Police and Maine State Police prompted a road closure early Wednesday.
Lewiston police said in a short news release they are investigating an 'incident' but provided no further detail.
According to the agency, the incident happened in the area of 69 Sabattus St.
Crime scene tape could be seen blocking off an area near the Blue Goose tavern and a driveway on the other side of the road.
Sabattus Street was closed much of early Wednesday and was reopened around 7:30 a.m.
Maine State Police confirmed that detectives are investigating and that there's no danger to the public.
