* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...South Central Greeley County in west central Kansas...

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1205 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Tribune and Horace.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Authorities are searching for a convicted felon who left the Wichita Work Release Facility on Thursday.
The Kansas Department of Corrections said 36-year-old Jauwon Antonio Allen was placed on escape status at around 6 p.m., adding that he escaped after being placed on administrative restriction.
Allen was seen leaving and did not return for the evening count at the minimum-security unit. He stands 5-foot-7, weighs approximately 230 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. A release from the KDOC said he was wearing a blue shirt, blue sweatpants, and blue hat.
According to corrections records, Allen was incarcerated for convictions of criminal threat and obstruction in Ellis County and robbery, kidnapping, aggravated battery, and aggravated escape in Sedgwick County. He was serving a 35-month sentence, KDOC said, and he was transferred to work release on October 20, 2025.
