Commissioners extend Oklahoma County burn ban by two weeks after talks with fire chiefs

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — Oklahoma County Commissioners say a countywide burn ban is being extended for an additional two weeks.

The current burn ban is set to expire on Sept. 3, but after speaking with Oklahoma County Fire Chiefs, the Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners decided to extend it.

Oklahoma County's extended burn ban will expire Sept. 17.
