Australian billionaire and major Austal shareholder Andrew Forrest has made a flying visit to the company’s Alabama boatyards as an international bidding war for the naval shipbuilder’s United States division heats up.
The iron ore magnate’s private jet touched down in Mobile, Alabama, over the weekend, where Forrest met with Austal USA president Gene Miller before flying to New York for a United Nations General Assembly session.
