Planned Parenthood in Washington announces final endorsements for state Supreme Court

With 43 days until Election Day, Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates – WA and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Greater Washington and North Idaho are excited to announce their final endorsements for the Washington State Supreme Court.
With five of nine seats on the court up for election, anti-abortion activists are working to swoop in and shape the majority of the court, relying on voters lacking information in judicial races. PPAA – WA and PPAGWNI are prioritizing these races to ensure voters understand how these seats are key to protecting abortion rights and access to sexual and reproductive health care from escalating attacks on our rights and freedoms.
Washingtonians deserve a state Supreme Court with the education, experience, ability and temperament to reach just decisions in the individual cases brought before them — not anti-abortion judges who were handpicked by MAGA millionaires. As sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice advocates, PPAA – WA and PPAGWNI proudly endorse two more candidates who will work to make the justice system more accessible and equitable for all, ensuring the protection of our fundamental rights:
Jaime Hawk – Position 3
Debra Stephens – Position 7
These endorsements complete our full slate of Supreme Court endorsements, joining earlier endorsements of Justice Colleen Melody, Justice Theo Angelis and Judge Ian Birk. There are five total Supreme Court seats up for election in 2026.

After a careful vetting process, we are confident that Justice Debra Stephens and Judge Jaime Hawk are aligned with the values of Planned Parenthood advocates and respect our state’s expansive support for reproductive freedom.”
