Indiana State University students head back to campus this weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University students are returning to campus this weekend, with several events planned for students and their families beginning Saturday.

ISU President Dr. Michael Goddard said his message to incoming students and parents is to be patient, but also to enjoy the moment. Goddard said move-in weekend is one of his favorite times on campus, adding that as a parent himself, moving his own children onto their college campuses is among his favorite memories.

“Welcome them to campus and start their academic career here at Indiana State,” Goddard said. “That goes right into an involvement fair where we have tons of tables and booths set up for our new freshmen to be able to get involved with different student groups, organizations, activities on campus. We want them to start off really feeling a part of this community and set them on that pathway to be successful.”
