Police seized more than 50 firearms, drugs and gun manufacturing supplies from a Salem man after arresting him Monday, officials said.
Salem police arrested Michael Brasi, 47, in connection with a domestic stalking incident after several reports that he violated a no-contact order, police said in a news release.
Patrol officers contacted detectives after the arrest and prompted them to apply for a search warrant, police said.
Salem police and agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives served the warrant Tuesday.
According to the news release, they located and seized 54 firearms, eight homemade suppressors, incomplete firearm frames, firearm parts and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Several of the firearms were stolen. Detectives also found drill presses, 3D printers and firearm build kits.
Detectives also seized 129 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 88.7 grams of fentanyl, 20.1 grams of cocaine and more than 150 vials of anabolic steroids, police said.
Other evidence suggested Brasi may have been manufacturing anabolic steroids, police said.
Brasi was arraigned Monday on charges related to the stalking incident and remains in custody at the Marion County jail. Police said charges related to the firearm offenses are pending, but the investigation is ongoing.
