Wayfair to open first Pennsylvania storefront in Pittsburgh

Wayfair is expected to open its first Pennsylvania location in Pittsburgh next year.

Wayfair announced it will be opening a new 95,000-square-foot store in North Hills Village in 2027.

The location will have an on-site design studio where shoppers can work directly with design consultants on projects ranging from room updates to home renovations.

"We are excited that Wayfair has chosen to locate its very first store in Pennsylvania at North Hills Village shopping center. As one of the world's largest home retailers, we know Wayfair will be a vibrant new addition to the property and be well-received by the community," said Fred Reitano, CEO of J.J. Gumberg Co.

In addition to the design studio, the Wayfair store will also have items that can be taken home the same day they are purchased.

The Pittsburgh location will join three other existing Wayfair storefronts, including stores in Illinois, Georgia and Ohio.

"Pittsburgh is a region celebrated for its strong community roots and distinct architectural character, making it an incredibly exciting market for our physical retail expansion," Liza Lefkowski, vice president of merchandising and stores at Wayfair, said.
