HOUSTON - Authorities are investigating a report of a shooting near Spring ISD’s Westfield High School on Tuesday afternoon, officials say.
What we know:
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the shooting "occurred at or near Westfield High School" on Ella Blvd.
One person was reportedly shot and taken to the hospital.
The sheriff says a suspect is believed to have fled the scene on foot, and a search is currently underway.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Spring ISD are investigating.
