18-year-old arrested after rifle fired on I-71 in Silverton

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — An 18-year-old was arrested early Sunday and is accused of firing shots on Interstate 71 north in Silverton, according to deputies.
Deputies say at about 5 a.m., they were called to I-71 north near the Red Bank Road exit for the report of a man with a rifle outside of his vehicle.
A rifle and shell casings were recovered at the scene, and deputies say they arrested 18-year-old Aaron Phelan.
No injuries were reported, and there is no indication that anyone or vehicles were targeted, deputies said.
Phelan is facing charges of aggravated menacing and discharging a firearm on a prohibited premises.
It is unclear if Phelan was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
