In-N-Out eyes another Nashville location on 8th Avenue South

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — In-N-Out Burger is eyeing another Nashville location as the California burger chain continues expanding its footprint across Middle Tennessee.

The company confirmed to FOX 17 News that it hopes to open a restaurant at the intersection of 8th Avenue South and Berry Road, but you can't start lining up for a Double-Double just yet!

In-N-Out Director of Real Estate Matt Loevenguth said the proposed restaurant is still in the development application process, meaning the company does not have a timetable for when, or even if, the location will open.

We do hope to open a new restaurant at 8th Avenue South and Berry Road in Nashville,” Loevenguth said. “At this stage, we are in the development application process, so it’s still too early to say when, or even if, we will obtain the approvals necessary to open a restaurant there.

If those approvals and permits are secured, In-N-Out said it typically takes about eight to nine months from the start of construction to open a restaurant. The potential location would continue a rapid Middle Tennessee expansion for a chain that didn’t have a single Tennessee restaurant less than a year ago.

In-N-Out opened its first Tennessee restaurants in Antioch and Lebanon on Dec. 10, 2025, followed by Murfreesboro two days later.

Franklin joined the list in February, followed by the company’s newest Middle Tennessee restaurant in Madison, which opened July 10.

That brings In-N-Out to five operating locations across Middle Tennessee:

The company said it has been encouraged by the response since making Tennessee its 10th state and its furthest-east expansion to date.

For now, though, plans for 8th Avenue South remain just that, plans.
