Multiple Agencies Respond to Whitestown Standoff
WHITESTOWN, Ind. — Police arrested a person who barricaded themselves inside an apartment Tuesday night after multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a Whitestown apartment complex.
Whitestown police say they went to the Meadows on Main apartments after investigators learned the person they were looking for might be staying with a family member there.
Police found the person inside an apartment and spent about two hours negotiating before state police took them into custody.
The FBI, Indiana State Police, Muncie Police Department and Boone County Crisis Negotiation Team all helped with the response.
No one was hurt, and police say no officers fired their weapons during the standoff. Police have not released the person’s name or explained why investigators were looking for them.
