The Honolulu medical examiner identified the victim as Jashawn K. Wakefield, 23, of Wahiawa. His family set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral costs. Police said Detor Sirom, 37, was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, and place to keep pistol. The shooting occurred around 5 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Keeaumoku Street and Kapiolani Boulevard. Police arrested Sirom Monday afternoon near Auwaiolimu and Whiting streets.
