3rd suspect arrested in Peachtree City flight school RICO case
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A third suspect was arrested for allegedly stealing money from students at a Peachtree City flight school, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
Last week, the GBI announced the arrests of the former owners of FLYT Aviation, a flight school previously located in Peachtree City.
The agency said Alex Hamlin, 34, and Harlan Hamlin, 59, were booked in the Fayette County Jail on 20 counts of theft by conversion and one count of violating the Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

In February 2025, Peachtree City police asked the GBI to look into allegations by several students that there were “financial discrepancies” in their FLYT Aviation accounts after the school was sold to a new owner in October 2024, according to the GBI.
The GBI determined that several accounts, including those of students who had scholarships or were in financing programs, were “misappropriated” by the Hamlins.
The agency said more arrests were expected.
On Wednesday, the GBI said Teresa Roberson, the former financial account director for FLYT Aviation, turned herself in.
Roberson, 69, of Williamson, was booked in the Fayette County Jail on the same charges as the Hamlins, the GBI said.
