Herrin-Gear car show raises money for Mississippi children's hospital
Classic cars, custom rides and community support came together Saturday as Herrin-Gear Automotive Group hosted its annual Gear Up & Unleash car show.
The event raised money for Friends of Children's Hospital, which supports Mississippi children and families receiving care.
Organizers said the event has grown beyond a traditional car show, giving community members an opportunity to gather while supporting children in need.
“Gear Up & Unleash has become so much more than a car show,” Herrin-Gear Director of Marketing Shelly Hux said. “It's a way for our community to come together and make a real difference for Mississippi children and families.”
Hux said every dollar raised benefits Friends of Children's Hospital. She also thanked the event's sponsors, volunteers, participants, vendors and families for helping make the event possible.
The event featured a variety of classic and custom vehicles while raising money for a cause focused on helping Mississippi children and their families.
