The Kennebunk Police Department charged a Massachusetts man on Thursday in connection with bomb threats made against the Kennebunk Town Hall in August.

On August 12, Kennebunk received two bomb threats over email sent to the Kennebunk Fire and Rescue and the Town Assessor’s office, which share a building.
In response, the Town Hall complex was evacuated and remained closed for the day.
The threat was determined to be a hoax sent from an out-of-state address, and police mounted an investigation.
The FBI, Maine State Police, and Maine Capitol Police all joined in the investigation.
The investigation led detectives to a residence in Revere, Massachusetts.
Police identified Andres Gaviria Arango, 25, of Revere, Mass., as the suspect.
He was charged with terrorizing, a felony, and is set to appear in the York Judicial Court on October 13.
Police did not indicate that he had actually been taken into custody.
